Panorama Photography

Panoramic photos are my favorite. It is like looking at a reaaaaaally wide screen TV. You get to see the whole picture with extras on the left and right. Almost all cameras sold in 2008-2009 have this feature. So all you have to do is take side-by-side pictures. Camera tells you how much you should turn the camera to the left or right in order to create a perfect picture.

Another way of creating panoramic photos, is Photostitching. This is so-called post-editing because it is done in the computer after your photo shoot is completed. It is indeed similar to what the new cameras accomplish "inside their own brains" but it requires your input. You have to select reference points that appear in 2 photos, a building for example. That building becomes your anchor point. Later on, computer stitches the 2 photos based on the elements on that building.

When I took these photos in 2004 in NYC, I didn't have a camera with built-in Photostitching feature therefore my shots are post-edited. And the software I used wasn't perfect as you can see the differences in lighting from picture to picture.
